I Heart The Muppets

I want to go back in time, to November 22, 2011. I want to go back to a day that I want to change. See, I was supposed to see “The Muppets” at midnight with some friends. But when we arrived at the theater the employees told us that earlier someone had pulled the fire alarm and that they didn’t know when everything would be back on line, so the show was cancelled. I called my friends who had not arrived and told them that they could get a refund on their tickets. When I was home my friends called me saying that the theater had opened and the show was back on. But it was raining really badly and I didn’t feel safe driving in such bad weather. So I stayed home and saw the film about 12 hours later.

I want to wait at the theater, I want to see the film at midnight. I also want to be the me that hasn’t memorized most of the film. I want to laugh at the jokes I know are coming. I want to experience seeing Kermit and Scooter and Sam the Eagle on the big screen again. I want to burst out laughing when Jim Parsons steps into Walter’s reflection or when Miss. Poogy does…well anything. I want to 100% cry when they perform Rainbow Connection. But most of all I want that anticipation of knowing that I’m about to see my favorite thing on earth, and watch them be amazing beyond all belief.
